Hope Kay
Hope Kay has been making music for as long as she can remember and designing and building digital products for the last twenty years – two paths that, on paper, look unrelated and in practice have always run on the same instinct. She has sung with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, one of the world’s premier choral ensembles, since 1995, contributing to fundraising and community engagement for an arts organization that has sustained itself for decades. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music History and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Arts Administration, both from the University of Akron.
In her professional life, Hope has spent the last twenty years creating digital products for healthcare and financial organizations, currently as Director of Digital Product at Panacea Financial, where she’s building the product function from the ground up for a startup serving thousands of healthcare professionals. Across every role, her real subject has been the same: what moves people, what they need, and how to build something that actually serves them.
That instinct is what brought her to DocSong’s board. The belief that how people experience something is as important as what they experience runs through her music life and her career in equal measure, and DocSong’s work of turning personal stories into songs that heal and connect is, for her, the place those two perspectives meet.
