DocSong is Hiring!

We’re looking for our next Executive Director.

DocSong partners with musicians and communities to transform stories into songs that heal, empower, and inspire. We’re looking for an Executive Director who loves building relationships, thrives in small organizations, and is ready to guide DocSong with heart and intention during an exciting period of growth.

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), remote position at $30–35/hour, with a one-year contract and strong possibility of renewal. You’ll work closely with Program Director, Hazel Delehey, and our Board of Directors to provide strategic leadership, lead fundraising efforts, and serve as DocSong’s primary ambassador.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Believes in the power of music to connect people and is a strong advocate for artists
  • At least 3 years of nonprofit leadership experience, with a proven track record of fundraising and organizational management
  • Skilled at building relationships, communicating effectively, and guiding small, mission-driven teams
  • Experience in arts or community-based organizations a plus

You don’t need to be a musician—what matters most is your commitment to supporting artists and communities and your passion for DocSong’s mission.

Our Commitment to Equity

DocSong is committed to equity, inclusion, and justice. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, Indigenous people, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, people from working-class backgrounds, and others historically underrepresented in nonprofit leadership. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every qualification, we want to hear from you.

Apply

Applications are due April 11, 2026, but we will review applications on a rolling basis, so early submissions are welcome.
