Support Our Work
Why Your Support Matters
Documentary songwriting strengthens communities by creating space for people to share their stories and transform them into songs. Your support trains teaching artists, funds fellowships, and helps create documentary songs that heal, build connection, and amplify voices often left out of our cultural conversation.
Every gift—whether you donate, sponsor a song, or volunteer your time—helps musicians use their artistry to make meaningful change in their communities.
Ways to Support
Donate
Support a Fellow
Documentary songwriting creates lasting change when it's led by musicians already embedded in their communities—artists who bring established relationships, cultural knowledge, and deep trust that outside practitioners can't replicate.
Fellowships cost $10,000 and provide intensive training, mentorship, and project support for a local teaching artist to facilitate documentary songwriting in their own community. Your gift—whether you fund a full fellowship or contribute what you can—helps make these transformative opportunities possible.
Sponsor a Song
When you sponsor a song, you fund the teaching artist facilitating the session, the time to shape a story into music, and the recording that preserves it. Documentary songs get shared with audiences, used by storytellers in their own advocacy work, and become lasting records of the full spectrum of human story.
Song sponsorships are $500 and cover all costs from facilitation to final recording.
